Sacred Heart Drops The Ball In Bout With Cole Camp

Sacred Heart varsity softball dropped their game to Cole Camp 16-5 on Thursday, April 11 in a home game.

Miranda Belles toed the rubber, allowing 13 hits and striking out 11.

The Lady Grems racked up eight hits on the night. Belles and Claire Smeltzer each collected three hits, while Veronica Vanegas and Maria Mergen each had one hit.

Smeltzer had two RBIs.

Sacred Heart JV tied with Cole Camp, 9-9.

Maria Mergan made her pitching debut allowing four hits and striking out one.

The offense was hot racking up nine hits in the game. Miranda Belles, Mergen, and Claire Smeltzer each had to hits, while Veronica Vanegas, Alyssa Perez, and Addie Hunsaker each had one. Vanegas and Perez each had three RBIs on the night.

Sacred Heart plays Otterville (0-8) today at 5 at home.
