Sedalia Police arrested 22-year-old Tristan Dale Fizer at 16th and Vermont at 1:33 a.m. on Nov. 14.

According to a report, an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white Chevy Tahoe for no working license plate lights.

The vehicle pulled over in front of a residence in the 1600 block of Vermont and the driver attempted to flee into the house, and was apprehended as he opened the front door.

The driver was then arrested on the front porch.

Officers then detected the odor of marijuana coming from the residence. A search warrant was obtained, and a subsequent search led to the discovery of numerous drug paraphernalia items, marijuana and several firearms. In addition, several firearms and drug paraphernalia were also found in the Tahoe.

Fizer was taken to the Pettis County Jail and charged with resisting arrest, 4th degree assault, felony marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia possession and unlawful possession of a concealable weapon. He was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the filing of formal charges.
