30-year-old Sedalia woman arrested Wednesday on a parole violation warrant

At 3:41 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the probation and parole office on a suspect with an active warrant. Upon arrival officers arrested 30-year-old Courtney Hughes of Sedalia on a no-bond parole violation warrant. At the time of the police report she was in the Pettis County Jail pending further action.

63-year-old man arrested for stealing from a Breaktime Store

Just after 6pm Thursday evening the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Breaktime Store at 808 East Broadway on a theft complaint. Upon arrival the officers arrested 63-year-old Daryl L. McKinney of Sedalia for stealing from the Breaktime. McKinney was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Shoplifter at Walmart arrested Thursday evening

Around 6pm Thursday evening Sedalia Police arrested 73-year-old Mario Belardo of Sedalia for shoplifting at the Walmart Store. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County Jail pending charges.

Gun found Thursday on Sedalia’s Southside

A gun was reportedly found and turned into the Sedalia Police Thursday afternoon. The gun was found in the 1600 block of South Osage according to the police report.

Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports

On Thursday Pettis County Deputies stopped a vehicle at 7th and Madison. During the traffic stop deputies discovered that 18-year-old Leroy Schumaker was in possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. At the time of the Sheriff’s report Schumaker was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Thursday morning Pettis County Deputies were dispatched to McAninch Road and Highway “D” on a stealing complaint. Upon arrival the victim told the deputies sometime overnight someone stole property valued at $2500. An investigation is underway in the theft.

A lawnmower was reported stolen in the 20000 block of US-50 Highway in Pettis County on Thursday. An investigation is ongoing in the theft.
