On Wednesday (Aug 30), Sedalia Police arrested two people after conducting a traffic stop near Woods, located at 701 E. Broadway, for an equipment violation. Officers made contact with the occupants in the vehicle. According to the report, one of the occupants, 36-year old Charles R. Winsauer, had an active no-bond parole violation warrant. A search of Winsauer reportedly revealed a bag with a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. A small bag of marijuana was also located. Winsauer was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending multiple state drug charges.

During the traffic stop, a passenger in the vehicle, 23-year old Rachael M. Wirtz, was also arrested for multiple FTA warrants. Wirtz was taken to the Pettis County Jail. According to the report, a charge for possession of Drug Paraphernalia is also being sought.


Around 10:00 Wednesday night, Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of S. Lamine Ave. and E. 17th Street. The driver, 45-year old Douglas Lee Johnson, was arrested for Driving While Suspended. According to the report, Johnson was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. During the traffic stop, a female passenger was also arrested for a Morgan County warrant. The passenger, 28-year old Katylin H. Cline, was taken to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $1,000.
