On Saturday (March 16), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of S. Stewart Ave for a report of a physical disturbance. The victim stated she had sustained injuries when the suspect threw an object at her. The suspect, idenfied as 28-year old Avery N. Williamson, stated he threw an object at the victim, but that it did not cause the injuries. Williamson was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending a state charge of 3rd Degree Domestic Assault.


On Friday (March 15), Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of 12th Street and Massachusetts Ave for a report of a subject that had been speeding. Police made contact with the suspect, 19-year old Braden A. Williams, and found he had a Saline County probation violation warrant. Williams was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $1,500.00.


On Sunday morning (March 17), Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of Katy Circle in reference to a subject tampering with a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a neighbor who reportedly witnessed a man tampering with the victim's vehicle. When the suspect realized he was being watched, he reportedly fled the area in another vehicle. Inspection of the victim's vehicle revealed the suspect had gotten into it, unlatched the hood and disconnected the battery. At this time, the suspect has not been identified.


On Friday (March 15), Sedalia Police took a theft report at Sedalia Heights Apartment complex. The complainant said the suspect stole $1,000 worth of business property from the complex on March 1. The suspect was identified and reportedly admitted to stealing from the business. Theft charges are being submitted to the prosecutor. The suspect's name was not released.
