Gunshot victim shot by a suspect known to him Wednesday afternoon

At 1:21 Wednesday afternoon, Sedalia police responded to Bothwell Regional Health Center on a gunshot victim. Upon arrival the victim reported being shot by a suspect known to him. The incident happened in the 2100 Block of East 10th during an argument according to the victim. The police report states the victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries, and released from the hospital. The case has been turned over to the Sedalia police Criminal Division for investigation.

Man located at the back door of the Sedalia police Station faces drug charges

Around 6:15 Wednesday evening Sedalia Police were dispatched to the station’s back door on a subject possibly in need of medical attention. Upon arrival the officers found the man identified as 33-year-old Kevin Neil Richards of Sedalia was not in need of medical attention. A further investigation revealed Richards was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Richards was arrested, but was released pending state charges.

Burglary complaint investigated Wednesday afternoon on South Harrison

At 1:45 Wednesday afternoon a victim in the 1900 block of South Harrison reported a burglary. According to the victim someone forced entry to the back door of the residence, and stole some unspecified valuables. There were no suspects at news time.
