Suspect Rams Pettis County Deputy’s vehicle during a pursuit

On Saturday the 9th of January the Sedalia Police and a Pettis County Sheriff’s Deputy were in pursuit of a vehicle in the 1500 block of Thompson Blvd, when the pursued vehicle rammed the deputy’s vehicle. The Sedalia police report states the suspect fled on foot, but was captured a short time later. The suspect identified as 36-year-old Dwayne Lee Jones of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending multiple charges including assault on a law enforcement officer 1st degree, Driving while suspended, driving while intoxicated persistent offender, felony resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Sedalia woman uses a Florida woman’s identity several years in Sedalia

At 10:30am Wednesday morning the Sedalia Police Department received a General Offence report from the police department in Jacksonville Florida. The report informed the department that someone in Sedalia was using a Florida women’s identification information in the Sedalia area. The Sedalia Police report states the suspect 33-year-old Maria Del Carmen Hernandez-Arista of Sedalia was located, and admitted she had used the woman’s information for several years. The woman’s information was used to make loans, obtain services, and get a Missouri identification card in the woman’s name. Hernandez-arista was transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges, of identification theft, stealing, and forgery.

Two Sedalia residents arrested during a traffic stop Saturday evening

Around 6:40pm Saturday the 9th of January Sedalia Police observed a vehicle with a driver known to be suspended driving in the area of 3rd and Washington. The police report states the suspect vehicle also failed to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle was stopped, and 50-year-old Timothy Brian Edwards of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges. During the traffic stop a passenger 43-year-old Monica Dorene Snider of Sedalia was found to be in possession of a liquid form of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. At the time of the police report Snider was on 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail pending formal charges.

Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest a man on drug charges Wednesday in Sedalia

Just after 11pm Wednesday night the Sedalia Police assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol  on a drug related arrest at 20th and Limit Avenue. Arrested at the scene was Aaron R. Dove. At the time of the police report Dove was in the Pettis County pending drug related charges.
