17-year-old arrested on assault charges this (Friday) morning

At 7:47b this (Friday) morning Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 2200 block of South Kentucky on an assault complaint. Upon arrival the female victim told the officers that 17-year-old Serena Carter of the residence had assaulted her. Following an investigation Carter was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on 24-hour hold pending assault charges.

Female victim reports a case of forgery to Sedalia Police

Around 11pm Wednesday morning, a female victim reported a case of forgery to the Sedalia Police. According to the victim someone who earlier stole checks from her has been forging her name on the checks, and cashing them at various places. The police report states there is information on the suspect in the case.

Centerview man injured in a Johnson County vehicle accident this (Friday) morning

Just after 8:30am this (Friday) morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two vehicle accident on Northwest 621 a 10th of a mile South Of Route “UU” in Johnson County. According to the accident report the accident occurred as the 2014 KIA driven by 71-year-old James A. Cannon of Centerview pulled from his driveway, and began to slide. The driver a 2013 Ford 30-year-old Dana M. Wyatt of Warrensburg attempted to avoid the Cannon Vehicle, but struck it in the right front. A passenger in the Cannon Vehicle 70-year-old Glenda M. Cannon received minor injuries in the crash, and was taken to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for treatment.

Two-vehicle accident reported Thursday night in Henry County

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Report at 9:50 Thursday night icy roads contributed to a two-vehicle accident that happened on Route “CC” three tenths of a mile North of Northeast 231 in Henry County. The accident report states a 2008 Chevrolet 1500 Chevrolet driven by 64-year-old Kenneth J. Edwards of Calhoun was travelling Westbound, and a 2014 Ford F-250 driven by Gregory P. Valdez of Clinton was travelling Eastbound. The Valdez vehicle reportedly slid on the ice, crossed the centerline of the road, and sideswiped the Edwards vehicle causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Edwards was wearing his seatbelt, and suffered only minor injuries in the accident. He refused treatment at the scene.
