Sedalia man faces state charges for grabbing his son by the throat

At 3:30 Monday afternoon Sedalia police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the area of 11th and Grand. Upon arrival officers found that a suspect identified as 39-year-old Monico Raul Medrano of the residence had grabbed his adult son by the throat causing injuries. Medrano was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

Sedalia man runs into a building after a wheel comes off of his vehicle

Around 3:15 Monday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to a business in the area of West Broadway Blvd. and Industrial Road on an accident report. Upon arrival officers found that a 2001 Chevrolet had impacted a building damaging the front door. The driver of the Chevrolet 26-year-old Derek Naylor stayed at the scene until the owner of the building could be notified. The accident report states a wheel came off of the Chevrolet causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and hit the building. There was no report of any injury, and the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.
